NUCDU effectively combines theory and practice in providing educational services: an unique social and psychological training for practical psychologists of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan has started in Kharkiv

On October 22-24 scientists of Research Laboratory of Extreme and Crisis Psychology of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine on the basis of the only one in Ukraine, specialized for the needs of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, - Center for Implementation of Psychotraining Technologies, jointly with specialists of the Sector of Psychological Support started social and psychological training “Extreme psychological training of rescuers for emergency tasks: Self-Team-Others”. The participants of the training are employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, among them - Chief Extreme Psychologist of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Organization of Medical and Psychological Assistance of the Main Directorate for Organization of Emergency Management of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergencies of Azerbaijan - Major of Medical Service Hanum Sofieva. Mrs. Sofieva is studying at the adjuncture of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine and was very pleased to accept the offer of the university to undergo specialized social and psychological training in order to further expand her experience and use the knowledge gained at home.

The training involves the use of computer simulations of the actions of rescuers in the elimination of emergencies of different origins, including critical infrastructure. During the training exercises will be held parallel monitoring of psychophysiological state of psychologists and stress level with the help of stress trackers. And polygraph is used to obtain more accurate indicators. During the training, specialists of research laboratory will demonstrate innovative psycho-training technologies, which they have acquired and tested over the last ten years of scientific and practical activity. In particular, in 2013 some aspects of the training were tested during the visit of psychologists of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences to the Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus, and in 2019 similar experience was gained by Lithuanian colleagues - representatives of the Military Academy named after General Jonas Jamaitis: Senior Psychologist Rosita Canapeskate of the Academy's methodology - Linas Dungveskis, who became the first foreign guests of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine - Center for Implementation psycho training technologies.

After the training, colleagues from Azerbaijan will face difficult testing, because during the event they have to learn rapid methods of adaptation to extraordinary conditions, increase their stress resistance, to improve their abilities of psychological endurance and skills of effective psychological self-help and mutual self-help.
