Rector, Vice-Rector for staff and veterans of NUCDU took part in the events on the occasion of the Day of Commemoration of Participants in the Territories of Other Countries

On February 15, in the square on Science Ave, was held an event  to commemorate the participants of hostilities in the territory of other countries.
Representatives of the regional leadership, cities, veterans of local wars, anti-terrorist operation and the operation of the joint forces, heads of law enforcement agencies and institutions of higher education, representatives of the executive authorities, local self-government bodies and the public took part in the laying of flowers at the Memorial Complex. The participants of the ceremony were the Rector of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine Volodymyr Sadkovyi, the Vice-rector for staff Andriy Titarenko, as well as veterans of the educational institution.
31 years ago, on February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of the former USSR troops from Afghanistan ended. About 160,000 Ukrainians were in the war. They remained loyal to the oath, demonstrating genuine courage and mutual assistance. Today, they commemorate fellow countrymen who have passed the local wars in various parts of the globe and pay tribute to those who have not returned back to home.

 

Joint practical training of the Department of NUCDU and State Fire Rescue Unit-6 on a special light-duty rescue vehicle based on the FORD RANGER chassis

On January 23, 2020, teachers of the Department of fire tactics and rescue operations of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine participated in a joint practical training with the rescuers of the State Fire Rescue Unit-6. The practical training was held within the framework of the discipline "Rescue work in emergencies" on the topic "Rescue work on road accidents with cars on the bridge (overpass)" for applicants for higher education group PGPBs-16-242. The training was carried out with the involvement of a special light rescue ambulance SARM-L based on the FORD RANGER chassis, which is equipped with all necessary modern emergency rescue equipment. Students got acquainted with the equipment and technical characteristics of SARM-L based on the FORD RANGER chassis. The training ground was used to simulate road accidents with cars on the bridge and work was done by rescuers to fix and stabilize the car in conditions where its front part is on an abyss.

Representatives of NUCDU visited the National University of Ostroh Academy

On January 11, Svetlana Dombrowska, Head of the Training Research and Production Center of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, and Head of the Management Department, Victoria Shvedun, visited the the National University of Ostroh Academy and had a meeting with Rector Igor Pasichnyk.

During the meeting were discussed the issues of participation of the University staff in the International scientific-practical Internet conference "Public Administration in the field of Civil Protection: Science, Education, Practice", that is planned to be held on March 18-19, 2020, publications in the collection of scientific works "Bulletin of NUCDU: Series Public administration", as well as the development of scientific direction in the field of public administration of state information security.

At the end of the meeting, they became acquainted with the Ostroh Academy - history of creation goes back to the gray depths of the ages, astonishes all guests with the elusive and incomprehensible aura, the harmony of the intricacies of the Middle Ages and modernity.

Colleagues from Poland visited National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine

On December 19, delegation of the State Fire Service (Republic of Poland) arrived to the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, including the Deputy Commander of the State Fire Protection of the Lublin region of the Republic of Poland, Senior Brigadier Peter Jmartz (Head of Delegation); representative of the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw Senior Brigadier Wojciech Jarosz; President of PHU Ślusarstwo Fire and Training Equipment Manufacturing Company, Vladislav Radzik; PHU Ślusarstwo Fire and Training Equipment Company Director Martin Radzik.

On behalf of the SES of Ukraine, the delegation included Yaroslav Kondaurov, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the SES of Ukraine.

The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the material and technical base of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, to discuss the prospects of cooperation in the framework of the project # 215/2019 / ADM2019/M "Regional Rescue Training - Support to the Training System for SFOs and Professional Emergency Services in Ukraine", funded by the Government of the Republic of Poland is implemented with the participation of higher education institutions of SES of Ukraine, exploring the prospects of further development of cooperation between the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in professional area of training rescuers and international technical assistance.

On December 19, the Polish delegation met with the Rector of NUCDU - Volodymyr Sadkovyi, Vice-Rector for Educational & methodical work Oleg Nazarov, visited educational and research laboratories and  Museum of Higher Education Institution.

On December 20, foreign colleagues will take part in the graduation ceremony of the masters.
