NUCDU scientists are establishing contacts with Lithuanian colleagues

On April 2, within the framework of international cooperation and development of academic mobility, the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine hosted an online meeting of university scientists with representatives of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). Volodymyr Andronov, Vice-Rector for Research - Head of the NUTCDU' Research Center, Svitlana Dombrovska, Head of the Training Research and Production Center, and Alina Kovalenko, Lecturer at the Management Department of the Training Research and Production Center, discussed issues and agreed on joint seminars, student exchange and internships for teachers of higher education institutions.

Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) is the largest specialized university of social sciences in Lithuania, whose priority areas of training are law, civil security and public administration.

A representative of NUCDU took part in the International Scientific Online Webinar within the activities of the International Innovation and Application Center "Aquatic Artery".

An international scientific online webinar was held within the activities of the International Innovation and Application Center "Aquatic Artery", which began in March 2021 on the basis of Sumy State University.

During the online webinar, the priorities for the development of the Aquatic Artery Center were identified, which is formed on an interdisciplinary basis and is a focal point for the development of innovative project proposals focused on international grant activities, industrial implementation of engineering solutions for energy management and energy management, water treatment, the introduction of closed systems of water resources management.

Representatives of partner organizations from Belarus (Polisskiy State University), Germany (Technical University, Berlin), the Czech Republic (Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague) took part in reports on the development of areas of cooperation in the scientific field within the activities of the Aquatic Artery Center, Austria (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences), Slovakia (Technical University, Košice), France (National Institute of Applied Sciences, Lyon) and Japan (Low-Temperature Institute, Hokkaido University).

A representative of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine Roman Ponomarenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Deputy Head of the Department of service and training of the Faculty of Operational and Rescue Forces made a report at the online webinar.

As a result of the event, the strategic priorities for the development of the Aquatic Artery Center for the organization of work on joint grant proposals at the international level were identified.

Cadets of NUCD of Ukraine received international certificates

On February 26, 4th year cadets of the Faculty of Operational and Rescue Forces of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, who are currently mastering the educational and professional program "Radiation and Chemical Protection", were trained in an international online training program to train users of modern chemical, radiation and biological control device ProChem100i. The training took place on the basis of the international platform "Environics". According to the results of the training, all of them successfully passed the final control test and received international certificates.

Today, more than 10 specialized units of the SES of Ukraine are equipped with such modern devices, but soon, with the help of international partners, such equipment will appear in all units of radiation and chemical protection in all regions of Ukraine. It should be noted that the Department of Special Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine also has a modern device ProChem100i, which allows graduates to acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also to acquire practical skills. Thus, the practical units of the SES of Ukraine will receive qualified future specialists who are ready to perform the tasks assigned to them.

Representatives of NUCDU took part in a working meeting to discuss the organization and holding of celebrations on the occasion of International Women's Day

On February 17, 2021, Anna Zubahina, Freelance Rector's Adviser on Gender Problems, and Sofia Bogomazova, Gender Equality Specialist, took part in a workshop to discuss the organization and holding of International Women's Day celebrations.

This online event took place under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko.

Speakers at the workshop included Kateryna Levchenko, Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, Erika Kvapilova, Head of the UN Women Office in Ukraine, and representatives of structural units of the security and defense sector.

«UN Women» organization has announced the theme of International Women's Day on March 8, 2021 - "Women's Leadership: Towards an Equal Future in the World during a pandemic."
