International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Public Administration in the 21st Century: Problems and Prospects of Development" continues at NUCDU

On November 20, 2020, National University of Civil Defence was hosting an International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Public Administration in the 21st Century: Problems and Prospects of Development" under the auspices of the Web of Science. The scientific and communicative event is implemented together with scientific partners: Akademia Pomorska (Slupsk, Poland), Baltic International Academy (Riga, Latvia), Higher School of International Relations, and Social Communications (Chełm, Poland) 208 scientists from different cities of Ukraine took part in the conference. It is especially want to mention that young scientists took an active part in the preparation of the content of the conference: associate professors, graduate students, and masters of Training Research and Production Center, who prepared their articles together with supervisors and teachers on the platform du.nuczu.edu.ua

A representative of NUCDU took part in a distance course based on ISMA - Information Systems Management Institute (Riga, Latvia)

On August, 3 - September 25, 2020, on the basis of the Information Systems Management Institute (Riga, Latvia) was held a distance course "Computer systems and network in the learning process". The course participants were teachers of leading institutions of higher education in Ukraine, including - a senior lecturer of the Department of Fire and technological safety of facilities and technologies of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine Olexii Roianov. During the distance course, participants discussed the teaching of subjects during the quarantine. According to the results of participation in the course, a certificate of the participant was received.

A representative of NUCDU took part in the first webinar within the project on exchange of experience in digitalization of education

On October 28, 2020, Stella Hornostal, a senior lecturer at the Department of Fire Prevention in the Settlements of NUCDU, took part in the first webinar within the project on the exchange of experience in digitalization of education "Unicheck educational community". Participants talked in the format of a ZOOM-conference about the latest technologies and IT-solutions for education, about technologies that encourage students to study academically and simplify the learning process during the quarantine.

Speakers from leading educational institutions of Kharkiv took part in the webinar.

Zaitsev Vitaly, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Rector of Kharkiv University of Technology «STEP», raised the issue of the importance of academic integrity among higher education students.

Yeltsov Serhii, Director of the Training Center for Quality Management and Monitoring of the Educational Process, Associate Professor of Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, spoke in detail about the experience and problems that arise when testing qualifications, research papers, textbooks, textbooks for plagiarism.

Semenenko Larysa, director of the scientific and technical library of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", stressed the important role of libraries in preventing plagiarism on the example of the university website, spoke about the importance of creating and timely filling the repository.

Yakymenko Alina, the student coordinator of the project to promote academic integrity in Ukraine; 4th-year student of the Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy named after O.M. Beketov, shared her own experience in the project to promote integrity and improve education in higher education.

Mushchynska Natalia, Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, Deputy Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Higher Qualification Training of Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy named after O.M. Beketov, drew attention to the need to disseminate information on academic integrity not only among research and teaching staff but also among higher education and schoolchildren.

Many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to hear interesting and useful information, gain experience, exchange views on the implementation of the provisions of academic integrity in the daily life of educational institutions.

Participation of the scientific society of NUCD of Ukraine in the Eco forum

On October 16, representatives of the Scientific Society of Young Scientists, Cadets, and Students of the Department of Applied Mechanics and Environmental Protection Technologies of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine took part in the representative International Ecological Forum "Eco Forum - 2020" in Zaporizhzhia. According to the requirements of quarantine measures, participation took place remotely with all necessary security measures.

The scientific works of cadets Elizaveta Kapinos, Hanna Osetrova, and Oleksandra Snisar under the guidance of teachers of the department Olena Serikova and Svitlana Kovalenko were praised by the audience. Scientific works have highlighted the current problem of today - the impact of global climate change on the state of the economy and the world.
