Employees and cadets of NUCDU took part in the celebration of the Constitution Day of Ukraine

On June 28, scientific and pedagogical workers and cadets of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, complying with the requirements of quarantine, took part in a solemn event on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. So, in the morning at the university the State Flag of Ukraine and the Flag of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were solemnly raised.

The event took place in the areas on Chernyshevska Street, 94 and Bavarska Street, 7.

434 applicants for higher education of NUCDU of correspondence form of education passed certification

On June 26, at the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, 434 graduates of distance education completed the certification, which took place using distance learning technologies.

The day before, on June 25, the final meeting of the examination commissions took place, where it was decided to award higher professional qualifications to higher education seekers in specialties and degrees.

Thus, 167 students of the university will receive diplomas with a master's degree, of which - 37 with honors, and 267 - with a bachelor's degree, of which - 13 with honors. Among the applicants for higher education by correspondence - 4 students of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Volunteering at NUCDU continues

NUCDU cadets continue their volunteer activities. They helped retirees from Sumy, Lugansk, and Chernigiv regions to buy medicines and food. Also, more than 250 packages of social assistance were distributed in the cities of Zaporizhia and Sumy to the elderly, the disabled, and low-income families.

NUCDU's co-operation with the OSCE on the problems of chemical, radiation and biological protection continues

Olena Tarahno and Maksim Kustov from the Department of Special Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine took part in an online meeting of an expert working group within the OSCE project to increase Ukraine's preparedness to respond to chemical, radiation and biological threats. The meeting was attended by OSCE project coordinators and national experts from the SES, the State Border Guard Service, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Institute of Ecology and Toxicology named after L.I. Medved, as well as other institutions specializing in civil security in Ukraine. The working group discussed the problematic issues of developing recommendations for the training of radiation, chemical and biological protection specialists in SES educational institutions and the creation of a nationwide approach to responding to chemical, radiation and biological emergencies. The combination of international and state experience will improve the quality of training of civil defense specialists at NUCDU.
