The psychologist that represents NUCDU participated in the international conference
On September 24-27, Leading Researcher of the research laboratory of extreme and crisis psychology of the Training Research and Production Center Tsocota Victoria participated in the 36th International IASP International Conference and Assembly: “The 4th Industrial Revolution: areas of innovation and science parks as key boosters for a successful transition”, held in Nantes, France.
During the conference, topical issues of creation of innovative educational spaces, transfer of scientific developments and prospects of interaction of state, academic and business institutions were discussed.
Victoria spoke with colleagues about the future collaboration and joint implementation of scientific projects, shared the experience of creating a Center for the introduction of psycho-training technologies on the basis of NUCDU and the experience of using the latest technologies in the psychological training of rescuers.
Scientist from NUCDU has won the Young Man of the Year 2019 regional competition
On September 25, at the hall of Kharkiv City Council, the winners of the city contest "Young Man of the Year 2019" were awarded. The ceremony was held by Deputy Mayor for Family, Youth and Sports Konstantin Loboychenko. Among the honorees - Deputy Head of the Research Center - Head of the department of the organization of the research work of the Research Center (National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine), Doctor of Science (Technical Sciences) Yugeniy Rybka. The scientist was thanked by the Kharkiv mayor for winning the city competition “Young man of the year” in the nomination “Scientific activity” and a certificate for receiving a cash prize of 5 thousand UAH.
This year the competition was held in ten nominations: "Students of General Secondary Education Institutions", "Students of Vocational Educational Institutions", "Students of Higher Education Institutions of III Levels of Accreditation", "Students (cadets) of institutions of higher education of III-IV levels accreditation "," Scientific activity "," Culture and art "," Physical education and sports "," Activity in the field of production, entrepreneurship "," Activity in the non-production sphere "and" Public activity ". Participants age is 14 to 35 years.
According to the results of the city stage of the competition, 10 winners and 20 prize-winners in each nomination were honored. At the initiative of Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes, from 2018 winners and prize-winners will receive cash prizes in the amount of, respectively, 5 thousand and 3 thousand UAH.
"Young Man of the Year" competition was founded in 2001. For the 19 years of its existence about 6.5 thousand people have participated in it. The purpose of the competition is to support talented and talented youth, their achievements in various fields of scientific, industrial, social and cultural life.

Employees and cadets of NUCDU together with rescuers of State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region celebrated Rescuers Day with Kharkiv residents
On September, 21 at the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named ufter Gorky hosted a large-scale event to mark the Rescuers Day. The organizers of the festivities, the concert and the concert were the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine and the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named ufter Gorky.
On the festive day, there were expositions of the National Research Center and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region on the demonstration of radiation, chemical and biological protection, where devices and equipment for exploration of the zone of possible chemical contamination were used, as well as anyone wishing to "try on" protective chemical suits; tent of psychologists, where specialists demonstrated the provision of emergency psychological assistance to the victims, and scientists of the laboratory of extreme and crisis psychology introduced the contents of the suitcase of the psychologist. At the exposition of the National Fire Alarm System, presented by the department of automated security systems and information technologies, visitors were introduced to modern samples of fire sound detectors and a device for remote testing of smoke fire detectors. At the "Forwarding" location, those wishing to be able to "get" to their destination with the help of special equipment. Especially this exposure pleased the kids. The exposition of the rescue equipment was presented by the department of organization and technical support of the rescue works, presenting the guests with a folding rescue ladder. The staff of the Pyrotechnic and Special Training Department organized a training place where everyone, especially children, could feel like real sappers and join the process of finding and disposing of explosive objects in an artificially prepared minefield.
The guests of the holiday visited the exhibition of fire retrotechnics and modern fire and rescue equipment, and also had the opportunity to observe the demonstration work of the medical service and volunteers of the Red Cross, dog training and chemical service of the Training Center of the Operative Rescue Service of Civil Defense of Ukraine. Visitors watched the work of a 50-meter car ladder, a new MAZ tanker truck, as well as a rescue car from the Kharkiv Operational and Rescue Service. All interested persons had the opportunity to try wear the special clothes of the rescuer and take pictures, to test the fire-fighting equipment.
At the stage, the cadets of NUCDU - the winners and prize-winners of the World, Europe and Ukraine Championships in hand-to-hand combat and professional boxing - demonstrated their sporting skills, while the rescuers invited the guests to compete in pushing weights. They were also able to show their strength by participating in the tug of war.
The creative teams of the Main Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, the Training Center of the Operational and Rescue Service of the SES of Ukraine, children's creative teams and the teams of the young firefighters were entertained by the guests of the holiday. Employees of the NUCDU Club and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine conducted competitions, games, quizzes on fire-rescue theme with children's audience on the central stage of the park. The event was accompanied by the NUCDU Brass Band.
Visitors of the holiday received many surprises and unforgettable emotions. And most importantly - a lot of useful and necessary information from real rescuers.
Students of the Master's Degree Program of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine visited Kharkiv History Museum named after M.F. Sumtsov
On September 7, students of the first year of the Master's Degree Program of the Faculty of Civil Protection of the National University of Civil Defence visited Kharkiv History Museum named after M.F. Sumtsov. The Museum of History has 4 divisions: primitive society, feudalism, capitalism and the Soviet era. In addition to archeological monuments, there are exhibits from the history of Kharkiv's founding, numismatics, ethnographic collections, collections of weapons, flags. Due to the large number of various exhibition and exhibition halls, students got acquainted with the ancient history of Slobozhanshchyna and Eastern Ukraine. Everyone was delighted with the interesting excursion!
