Representatives of NUCDU are the Winners of International Program "Scientist of the Year - 2019"

On November 8, 2019, on the eve of the International Science Day, under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Federation of Scientists with the support and participation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Science and Education, Ministry of Education of Ukraine at the Hrushevsky Reception House was held the solemn awarding of the winners of the International Program "Scientist of the Year - 2019 ». Among the honorees are representatives of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, namely: Rector, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Full Professor Volodymyr Sadkovyi, Vice-Rector for Research Colonel of civil protection serviсe Doctor of Science (Technical Sciences), Full Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Volodymyr Andronov and Head of the Training Research and Production Center, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine Svetlana Dombrowska. The collections "Scientific Elite of Ukraine" and the Order "Scientist of the Year 2019" were presented to the audience .

Awards were also presented to representatives from Poland, Italy and Israel.

Representative of NUCDU finished advanced international training courses.

On October 12-28, as a part of multinational delegation of representatives of Central Asian countries and Ukraine, Igor Tolkunov, Head of Department of Pyrotechnic and Special Training (Civil Protection Faculty of NUCDU), within the framework of the OSCE project "Assistance to the Government of Ukraine to Clear Territory of Eastern Ukraine" qualifications in the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe).

The working visit was at the invitation of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, the leadership of the OSCE Secretariat's Center for Conflict Prevention, the Regional Explosive Risk Training Center, and the Military Institute's Training Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan. The formed training group includes representatives of units performing combat missions on humanitarian demining in the Central Asian Republics: Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, as well as experts in demining of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The main purpose of the visit of representatives of the SES of Ukraine, specialists in the field of humanitarian demining, was to gain international experience in the field of organization of the educational process and training of demining operators. Their improved knowledge and skills will be useful for preparation of higher education applicants in the educational institutions of Ukraine in specialty "Civil Protection" as educational and professional program "Engineering of Demining, Pyrotechnic and Explosive Works". In the course of the working visit, the delegation studied the experience of training specialists in the field of humanitarian demining, got acquainted with the work of humanitarian demining units of the Republic of Tajikistan, their logistical support and studied, in accordance with their duties and field of activity, experience in: organization and practice performing humanitarian clearance operations in the Republic of Tajikistan; experience developing National Standard Mine Action Procedures; organizing a non-technical and inspection system, as well as clearing areas from explosive objects and checking the quality of humanitarian demining operations; experience in organizing the educational process for training humanitarian mine specialists.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity for the teaching staff of the educational institutions to learn the experience of developing a humanitarian mine system in the Republic of Tajikistan for its use in further professional and teaching activities.

The course took place in two stages: theoretical and practical. During the training the following tasks were performed:
EOD training (Level II) was held to train humanitarian mine specialists, during which the following issues were studied:
- the content of EOD training (level II) in the field of demining and the study of the experience of building a humanitarian demining system;
- modern means of searching, neutralizing and destroying explosive objects;
- modern means of protection against explosion of explosive objects;
- tactics of demining units in accordance with IMAS International Mine Action Standards.

During the training course, delegates discussed and planned ways of further cooperation between the SES of Ukraine, the OSCE Secretariat's Conflict Prevention Center, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, Training Center of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan and other interested in demining units.

According to the results of the training, the participants successfully passed a comprehensive exam. At the end was held a solemn ceremony for the awarding of EOD training certificates (Level II) in the field of demining.

At NUCDU was held a presentation of web-oriented software "Statistical accounting of fires"

On October 29, at National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, was held a presentation of web-oriented software "Statistical accounting of fires". The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Emergency Management and Fire Management of Planning, Information and Analytical Work and Monitoring Department of the Emergency Prevention Department of the SES Office, Leonid Shramko, Chief Specialist of the same department Tetyana Korshikova, Head of the Research and Statistics Center of Technical Regulation of the Ukrainian Research and Development Institute Ruslan Klimas and researcher of the same department Alla Odinets.

Vice-Rector for Research of the University Volodymyr Andronov welcomed the attendees. Evgeniy Rybka, Head of the Department of organization of research work of Research Center, reported on the state of implementation of the research and development work "Software development for the formation of the "Fire Cards"". The Head of IT-Center of the University Mykhailo Piksasov presented the revision of software "Statistical accounting of fires" on the results of research operation, conducted in the units of territorial bodies of the SES of Ukraine. Leonid Shramko, Head of the Department for Monitoring, Accounting for Emergencies and Fires of the Planning, Information and Analytical Work and Monitoring Department of the Emergency Prevention Department of the SES Office, brought to the audience information about the results of the research operation of the software "Statistical accounting of fires" in Ukraine its practical use. Alla Odinets, a researcher at the department of research and statistics of fires at the Research and Technical Regulation Center of the Technical Regulatory Center of the Technical Regulation reported on the results of the research operation of the software "Statistical accounting of fires" for the needs of "administrator" level users.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of NUCDU participated in the II International Scientific and Practical Conference that was held in Kherson

On October 24-25, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Occupational Safety and Technogenic and Environmental Safety, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine Bogdan Tsymbal became an active participant of the II International scientific-practical conference "Ecological problems of environment and rational nature management" in the context of sustainable development. The scientific forum was held at Kherson State University. NUCDU representative Bogdan Tsymbal delivered a report "Heat-energy systems with heat exchangers integrated into the foundation (with piles) is the energy independence of dairy cattle farms".

The event discussed theoretical and applied environmental research; modeling and forecasting of the state of the environment; topical issues of modern ichthyology and aquaculture; sustainable development of forestry; environmental and socio-economic aspects of sustainable development; current problems of usage, reproduction and protection of natural resources in the context of sustainable development; climate change and their effects on natural ecosystems; environmental and innovative technologies in agriculture, as well as about modern approaches to teaching the natural sciences.

The participants also had the opportunity to visit the production of the State Enterprise “Production and Experimental Dnipro Sturgeon named after S.T. Artishuk”.
